Now, Minecraft has three Elements: Mine, mine and craft.
- Mine = it’s YOUR world
- Mine = mine resources
- Craft = craft things This is it.
IC², a Minecraft technology mod with a long history.
IC² is a Minecraft mod developed and maintained by IndustrialCraft2 Dev Team around the two themes of Minecraft life modernization and production automation.
And this addon is the bedrock edition of IC2 which ported from IC2 java mod.
It is introduced an electric energy system named [EU] Energy Unit (Energy Unit) and corresponding power generation equipment, and adding a large number of related items, blocks and machines based on this. Its content involves multiple themes such as resource processing, mineral collection, agriculture, etc., which greatly balances and enriches the game experience of the previous generation.
At the same time, it also has many expansion modules, which further enrich the game experience and add new game objectives.
And finally, here it is, the official IC2 Bedrock Addon!

ADVERSITE
Ladies and gentlemen, folks, elders, men and women, earthlings and aliens, after our long and arduous efforts, finally, IndustrialCraft2 Bedrock Edition ushered in his first official Version! !
You heard that right! We have released the official version of IndustrialCraft2 Bedrock Edition Alpha 1.0.0. Basically all the planned content has been implemented and players can play stably under version 1.19.5x. Notice that this is the very first version of the IC2 bedrock edition, it’s main purpose is to test the stable-ness of the energy system, so there still got a bunch of contents not been added, but we are working hard on it, just be patient. Hope you like it! ! !
Here’s what we added in Alpha 1.0.0:
Texture Update
As an MC module with a lifespan of more than 11 years, IC2’s ancestral textures are mostly products of the last era. With the update of vanilla MC, if the texture of IC2 is still conservative, it is obviously inappropriate. So we decided to do a texture update for IC2!
Texture update will be a gradual and lengthy process, and you will witness this exciting change with us for a long time to come. Of course, we welcome your more feedback and constructive comments, which are very important to us.
Install the texture update resource pack
The texture update resource pack currently exists in the form of a separate resource pack, which is built into the mcaddon file of the IC2 Bedrock Edition add-on pack, and it will be imported into the game along with the ontology resource pack and ontology behavior pack.
If you want to experience the texture update, you need to manually apply the IC2 texture update resource pack in the additional pack configuration bar of the world before entering the world, and make sure it is on the upper layer of the ontology resource pack.
Ore
In the first version of IC2 Bedrock Edition, we added three ores from IC2 and designed a new distribution for them! What? Where did you say the copper mine went? Don’t worry, Minecraft vanilla has a better “alternative” ready for us.
- Tin Ore
- Tin veins are evenly distributed at [ -64, 63 ].
- Tin veins are generated in a triangular [72, 344] distribution.
- Lead Ore
- Lead veins are evenly distributed at [ -64, 72 ].
- Lead veins are generated in a triangular [ -64, -16 ] distribution with midpoint at y = -48.
- Uranium Ore
- Generates small veins of uranium in a triangular [ -64, 72 ] distribution with midpoint at y = -12.
- Generates a small number of buried uranium veins in a Gaussian distribution of [ -64, 72 ], with the midpoint of the distribution at y = -12.
- Generates very few larger veins of uranium in a Gaussian distribution of [ -64, 72 ], midpoint at y = -12.
- Ore can be broken by all pickaxes that meet the requirements of the corresponding level.
- Drops raw ore when broken.
- The Silk Touch enchantment is required to obtain the corresponding ore block.
Raw Ore
Added raw ore counterparts for new ores.
ADVERSITE
- Added raw uranium, obtained by mining (deepslate) uranium ore, which can be smelted into uranium ingots. The number of drops can be increased by the Fortune enchantment.
- Added raw tin, obtained by mining (deepslate) tin ore, which can be smelted into tin ingots. The number of drops can be increased by the Fortune enchantment.
- Added raw uranium, obtained by mining (deepslate) lead ore, which can be smelted into lead ingots. The number of drops can be increased by the Fortune enchantment.
Rubber Tree
Look! This tree is so strange, what is it? slimy? Resin! We have added some content related to rubber trees. The viscous “blood” flowing in these weird-shaped trees may play an important role in your future industrial development. Please note that they are not honey!
- Natural Distribution
- Rubber trees generate in jungle, forest, and swamplands.

- Sticky Resin
- Players can use five planks to craft treetap for resin extraction, and one treetap can be used 16 times.
- Players can use the treetap to extract 1-3 sticky resins from the glue holes of the rubber tree. After extraction, the glue holes with resin will become empty glue holes.
- When a rubber tree is judged as a live tree, the empty holes will be refilled with resin after a period of time.
- If the player continues to use the treetap on the empty rubber holes of the rubber tree, there is a certain probability that the rubber holes will be destroyed and turned into ordinary rubber logs.
- When an empty rubber log tries to generate resin, if the rubber tree is dead, the rubber hole will stop and no longer generate resin.
- Sticky resin can be used to craft sticky pistons.
- Players can directly turn a placed piston block into a sticky piston by applying sticky resin to the wooden side of it.

- Rubber Log And Rubber Wood
- Rubber logs can be stripped using an axe to become stripped rubber logs.
- When a rubber log contains resin, stripping it with an axe will randomly drop some resin.
- Added rubber wood, crafted from four rubber logs.
- Rubber wood can be stripped with an axe to become stripped rubber wood.
- (Stripped) Rubber log (wood) can change direction when placed.

Energy Net System
In this version, we have introduced a brand new energy system, an energy system based on EU energy. This is a very special system. Compared with vanilla redstone, this system will be closer to the electricity in our life. The energy transmitted in this system is called EU energy, which you can understand as electrical energy, but the unit is EU.
There are various types of machinery in this system, and currently we have added three types of machinery, generators, power consumers, and power storage devices. Generators can produce electrical energy, while power-consuming equipment can perform various production activities by consuming electrical energy, and they need to be connected by wires (or placed directly adjacent to each other).
However, please note that similar to real life, the wires in IC2 also have a certain loss, so please plan your power grid reasonably. (Of course, this is meaningless for the current IC2 bedrock version. But after adding more machines and transformers in the future, this topic will become very important).
All IC2 machines have a certain energy tier, and as the energy tier increases, the maximum input/output voltage also increases. At present, the energy tier of the machines we have added is 1, that is to say, its input/output voltage is 32EU/tick. The wire also has a maximum withstand voltage. Once the input voltage exceeds the maximum input/withstand voltage of the wire or electrical equipment, an explosion will occur.
Generator
Generator are the most basic generators in IC2. From the perspective of the entire industrial system, making this machine may only mean that you have taken the first small step in your industrialized life. But compared to the various machines in IC2, this small block can be said to be the “root of all evil” in a sense. For the Bedrock Edition, limited by the interface capabilities of the Bedrock Edition, it has been difficult for us to implement the grid system for a long time in the past, and even this “simple first step” cannot be taken. And in this version, we officially added this basic machine, although there are still many flaws in the ointment, but at least we have successfully taken this “little first step”! Hope you like it!
- Add generator, the energy tier is 1, and the maximum storage capacity is 4000EU. It is crafted with re-battery, furnace and basic machine casing.
- Add re-battery, which is currently only used to craft generator, using insulated copper cable, tin casing and redstone to craft.
- Add the basic machine casing, use iron plates to craft, and use it to craft various machines. It is required to use iron picks and above for digging.
- Generator can be mined with a stone pickaxe and above.
- Currently, generators need chest as the container interface, and the first slot is the fuel slot.
- Power generation efficiency of the generator is 10EU/tick.
- All combustibles in vanilla (except lava) can be used as fuel for generator to generate energy, and the power generation time is proportional to the burning time of the corresponding fuel in the vanilla version.
- The (stripped) rubber wood, (stripped) rubber logs and rubber saplings can all be used as fuel for generator, and the power generation is the same as that of the vanilla logs and saplings.
- After the generator is fully charged, it will continue to burn and consume fuel.

Batbox
“Hey! Wake up! Your generator is fully charged!”. “Hmm… it’s ok, let me sleep a little longer… huh?? What’s full?”.
The working mode of the generator determines that we must keep an eye on it all the time, otherwise it may cause waste of fuel if we are not careful. At this time, if we can have something that can temporarily store the generated electric energy, that would be great…
So in this version, we added a energy storage device, the batbox! But until you craft them, it’s still wise to keep an eye on your production situation.
- Add the batbox, the energy tier is 1, the maximum storage capacity is 40000EU, and it is crafted with re-battery and planks.
- The batbox has an output face, which is used to output energy, and the other sides are input faces. Other energy generate/storage equipment can input energy into the batbox through these faces, and energy cannot be input from the output faces to the batbox.
- Use a wrench to adjust the orientation of the output face of the batbox, and use a wrench to dismantle the batbox on the output face.
- Batbox can be dismantled by mining with any pickaxe.
- After the batbox is dismantled, the dropped batbox will contain 80%~90% of the original batbox’s power.

Macerator
Pulverizing is the first process in our ore processing process. The Macerator provides the ability to increase the production of ingots of the ore you harvest.
- Add the macerator, the energy tier is 1, the maximum storage capacity is 1200EU, and it is crafted with flint, cobblestone, electronic circuit and basic machine casing.
- Add electronic circuit, crafted using redstone, iron plates, and insulated copper cable.
- Destroying the macerator directly will drop a base machine casing.
- At present, the macerator needs a chest as the container interface, the first slot is the raw material slot, and the second slot is the product slot.
- The power consumption rate of the macerator is 2EU/tick.
- The macerator operation efficiency is 15 seconds/item.

Dust
- Add ore dust
- Bronze dust can be crafted from three crushed copper ore/copper dust and one crushed tin ore/tin dust.
- Except for bronze dust, other dusts can only be obtained by processing ingots or plates through macerator for now.
- For copper, bronze, gold, and iron dusts, they can be smelted into ore ingots of the corresponding material through furnaces or blast furnaces.
Wrench
For most industrial machinery, direct destruction of the block cannot be successfully dismantled. Generally, a basic machine casing will be dropped. At this time, we urgently need a safe and reliable way to dismantle, and the wrench was added to solve this problem.
- Add wrench, crafted from a bronze ingot, with a durability of 120.
- Use wrench to the machine to perform corresponding operations.
- If the face used is not the one the machine is currently facing, modify the machine’s orientation and consume 1 point of durability.
- If the face used is the face the machine is currently facing, safely dismantle the machine, consuming 10 points of durability.
- The player can use the wrench in the sneaking state to rotate the machine to the opposite side of the used side. Similarly, assuming that the machine is facing the opposite side of the use side at this time, it will be dismantled.

Industrial Smithing Table
Limited by the capabilities of the Bedrock Edition interface, we cannot restore the working mode of the forging hammer and cutter on the crafting table very well. Therefore, a new Bedrock Edition exclusive block has been added here to enable the use of related tools.
- Add industrial smithing table for the use of forging hammers and cutter. It contains an item slot for storing raw materials that need to be manipulated. It is crafted from steel ingots and planks.
- Add steel ingots, which are obtained by sintering iron ingots, and can currently be used to craft industrial smithing table.
- Add cutting, which can only be used to cut copper plates to prepare copper cable for now.
- Add forging hammer, used to forge plates and casings, using iron ingots and sticks to craft.
- During use, you need to use the industrial smithing table with raw materials (such as copper ingots, tin ingots, etc.) to put them into the industrial smithing table, and then use the corresponding tools on the table again to make the corresponding products.

Plate
- Add metal plates with different material.
- Most plates can be forged from corresponding metal ingots in industrial smithing table.
- Most of the plates can be made into corresponding dusts by using a macerator(except for steel plates and uranium plates).
- Some plates are currently uncraftable (such as obsidian plate).

Bronze Tool
With the addition of crushed ore, the recipe of bronze has also been officially added to the game. Now, you need to use crushed tin ore and crushed copper ore (or tin dust and copper dust) to craft bronze dust in a ratio of 3:1, and then smelt it into bronze ingots in furnace. Bronze ingots can now be used to craft a variety of bronze tools in addition to armor.
- Added bronze pickaxe, which is the same level as iron pickaxe, with a durability of 325.
- Added bronze axe, which is the same level as iron axe, with a durability of 325.
- Added bronze hoe, which is the same level as iron hoe, with a durability of 325.
- Added bronze shovel, which is the same level as iron shovel, with a durability of 325.
- Added bronze sword, which is the same level as iron sword, with a durability of 325.

Technical Update
Tenon Framework
- Use Tenon-Bedrock Framework to build and implement game content.
IndustrialCraft2
We have begun to open up some interface content, and we hope to gradually provide sufficient inter-Addon interaction and expansion capabilities in the process of transplantation and development.
Currently we only provide the tags and property enumeration values of some existing blocks. In the future, we will open up more interfaces for custom machine blocks and provide more capabilities to interact with the energy net.
